Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in Mental Health of Older Adults (2 posts) in the Department of Social Work and Social Administration (Ref: 504270), to commence as soon as possible for one to two years, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.

The Department is conducting a geriatric mental wellness project in collaboration with NGO partners in the community.  It aims to develop a viable and sustainable best practice model to promote mental wellness among older adults and prevent depression among older people in Hong Kong. We are hiring Post-doctoral Fellows in the area of advanced statistical analysis and/or mental health.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Statistics, Social Sciences, Social Work, Psychology, or other related disciplines.  Those with postdoctoral research experience, an especially strong background in health statistics or mental health research, and an excellent track record of publications are highly desirable.

The appointee will assist the Project Director and Project Managers to implement various research studies; facilitate the collection of big data; oversee data collection and management; write scientific publications and reports; supervise junior research staff; and perform any other duties as assigned.  They will have ample opportunities to work with research professionals, clinical psychologists, social workers as well as stakeholders in the local community.

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.
