Job Description

We are looking for graduate in engineering or physics. 

The Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) is important for the nanoscale inspection and failure analysis of integrated circuits. Various developments of SEMs are being pioneered in the NUS Charged Particle Research Group, including developing new kinds of electron beam sources and miniature focused electron beam columns. There is at presently a Research Engineer/Research Assistant (RE/RA) job available in the research group as part of its on-going research in developing miniature SEMs. The research group is located in the Faculty of Engineering E6 NanoFab Lab.   

Qualifications

  • Possess a bachelor degree in Engineering, preferably in Electrical Engineering or Material Science. 
  • A bachelor degree in Physics can be considered. 
  • The job will involve running electron optics simulation software in order to design different parts of a SEM. 
  • The candidate should be strong in mathematics, physics and computing, and have an interest in numerical methods and simulation. 
  • Having some prior experience with computational programming will be preferred.
  • Open to fixed-term contract
