About the Position

Nested at the NUS Department of Psychological Medicine, the Mind-Science Centre (MSC) is a faculty-volunteer collaborative partnership. MSC will undertake mental research across the age continuum to translate outcomes into effective, scalable interventions in Singaporean and Asian communities.

To assist investigators in conducting the Oxytocin Study Randomized Controlled Clinical Trial. The Oxytocin Study aims to investigate the safety and efficacy profile of long-term intranasal oxytocin treatment. The study explores whether oxytocin can improve the prototypical and core symptom of social interaction deficit among ASD patients. In a separate study, you will using be using the Singapore Youth Resilience Scale to profile school-age youths.

Job Description

  • Assist the Principal Investigator in submitting study notifcations to the NHG Domain Specific Review Board (DSRB) or Institutional Review Board (IRB) for ethics review and to the Health Sciences Authority (HSA) for clinical trial notifications.
  • Attend trial-related initiation, close-up and other trial related meetings
  • Plan, organize and co-ordinate routine trial study activities workflow
  • Complete Case Report Forms (CRFs), handle data entry and cleaning
  • Maintain Investigator Site File and ensure that all study documents are complete and up to date.
  • Assist investigators in the screening and recruitment of potential patients/healthy volunteers as according to trial protocol
  • Prepare for and follow up on Study Monitoring/Audit Findings
  • Schedule appointments for patients/subjects
  • Ensure patients’/subjects’ compliance to trial medication (if any)
  • Provide regular trial updates to investigators/ sponsor companies and manager(s) for trial-related issues
  • Profile students using the Singapore Youth Resilience Scale
  • May also be involved in other research projects as assigned by the Principal Investigator

Qualifications

  • Good Honours Degree or Masters in Psychology or Science in Research from a recognised institution.
  • Able to perform analysis using statistical software such as SPSS.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
  • Team-oriented with strong coordination and organisational skills.
  • Experience with research is a plus.
  • Have strong interest to further your studies.
