What You Will Do

We have an exciting opportunity for a post-doctoral fellow to contribute towards the University's research goals by supporting the Construction Management group and the Endeavour programme. You will have the opportunity to drive research in a complex area, utilising current systems modelling approaches. You will support outreach and coordination with organizations working in this area (i.e. BRANZ, industry organisations and other universities), and contribute to the writing of one or more funding proposals.

Who You Are

You will have a PhD in Systems Engineering, Civil and Natural Resource Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline, as well as an advanced research background with a publication record in reputable peer-reviewed academic and/or professional journals, and/or books, suitable for appointment at this level. You will have a proven record of research supervision and involvement in applying for external research funding. Experience working in the Construction Industry is a plus.

You will have significant experience with knowledge and data modelling or computer programming (including in Knowledge Based System and other artificial intelligence applications). It is also important to have experience with software packages such as NVivo and similar.

As an effective communicator, proficient in verbal and written English, you will conduct discussions and interviews in a professional manner. You will have the ability to work independently, and as part of a team, collaborating in a complex environment and working cooperatively across disciplines.
