Department of Mathematics

The Department has strong commitments in first-class research in areas of scientific computing and statistics and nurturing high-quality students. It receives allocation for the identified area from Science Faculty Niche Research Area, to establish world-class research teams and to develop the needed experimental platforms as well as modelling and data analysis capabilities.

Research Assistant Professor (PR0367/20-21)

The appointee is expected to conduct independent scholarly research in areas of scientific computing/statistics, submit grant proposals, supervise research assistants and engage in some teaching duties.

Applicants should possess a PhD degree in Applied or Computational Mathematics/Statistics with a track record of high quality publications.

Initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of three years. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
