An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Electrical Operations Team for a qualified Electrician to join our established team to carry out the delivery of Statutory or Mandatory planned maintenance work and reactive maintenance work on the electrical infrastructure across the University estate.

You will be based at the Highfield Campus and expected to travel to other sites the University operate.

The successful applicant will have relevant and suitable experience following completion of a recognised apprenticeship and have gained City and Guilds 236 Part 1 and Part 2 Certificates, or equivalent. Additionally certification for and up to date knowledge of BS7671 – Electrical Wiring Regulations is required. Suitable candidates would also hold a C&G2391 certificate for fixed installation testing and be computer literate. Experience of UPS, Generators or PV systems would also be useful.

Participation in a call out rota outside of normal working hours will be required, for which an additional supplement will be paid.
