The Directorate of Learning, Teaching and Quality Enhancement is seeking to appoint a new Degree Apprenticeship Quality Officer to take forward our work in developing policy and practice associated with the delivery of apprenticeships.  As part of the Academic Quality team, the postholder will lead on assurance activities in relation Ofsted audit and inspection requirements, producing reports that highlight the University's level of compliance and its state of preparedness for review visits. The Degree Apprenticeship Quality Officer will lead the development of organisational policies, practices, and processes relating to the quality of apprenticeship provision as well as provide support to academic and administrative teams that are currently delivering higher and degree apprenticeships. This will be one of two key appointments to support the development of its higher and degree apprenticeship provision. 

While the roles will sit within the Academic Quality team, the postholder will work closely with the Degree Apprenticeships Coordinator and other colleagues in the Directorate of Student and Academic and Information Services, as well as Programme Leaders and academic Schools to establish and lead implementation of a comprehensive response to an Ofsted audit. 

To be successful in this role you will have proven experience of managing quality and standards in relation to work-based learning programmes as well as a working knowledge current UK higher and degree apprenticeships agencies, regulations, and practices. With excellent interpersonal and communication skills, you will be highly self-motivated with the ambition to support the University to successfully deliver its strategic and operational objectives.
