Major topics have been optimisation methods, rapid prototyping, conceptual structural design, digital fabrication, and finite element methods in the conceptual stage. We use new computational technologies such as Algorithms- Aided Design, robotisation in the fabrication process, creating new digital workflows with a significant impact on the construction industry.

This position is established to strengthen the teaching and research in response to the growing digital workflow application in structural engineering and digital fabrication related to all construction materials.

The position will be responsible for the educational developments and ongoing research projects. Young engineers must be trained to current and future competence needs and to be adaptable to technological developments through education.

We are looking for a candidate with expertise in parametric structural design, structural engineering, and computational engineering for this position. Preferably also with experience in digital fabrication, virtual reality and the digitisation of the design to construction chain. For more information, see our website
