Job Description

The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at National University of Singapore invites applications for one (1) Research Fellow position in the area of airport pavement engineering. The candidate is expected to work and co-lead in the research project funded by Changi Airport Group (PI: Dr Ong Ghim Ping Raymond; co-PI: Dr Geng Guoqing and Dr Du Hongjian) to develop: - 

1. Rapid setting cement mix for airport maintenance. 
2. Test and develop machine-learning based algorithm for rapid setting cement mix application in the field. 

Qualifications

Candidate should have a PhD in civil engineering specializing in either geotechnical engineering or pavement engineering. Willingness to learn machine learning is an advantage. Good communication and team working skills with the ability to present research findings in publications and meetings are also required. The appointment will be for one year in the first instance (negotiable prior to employment) and renewable for another year subject to availability of funding.
