We are looking for qualified and committed Educational Technologist (Academic) to join the Centre for English Language Education.

Centre for English Language Education (CELE)

Since the development of the Nottingham-Ningbo campus in 2004, the Centre for English Language Education (CELE) has aimed to promote high quality teaching in its structure and support of academic, commercial and outreach programme delivery. With over 110 academic staff, the CELE operation at UNNC is now one of the largest of its kind in the world and is currently supporting all UNNC students on its Preliminary Year, Pre-Sessional and Academic Literacy Development Centre programmes and through online digital support.

As the Centre expands on its digital teaching and learning provision, applications are invited from suitably qualified academic professionals within Education able to offer experience and expertise in the following key fields:

• Design and implementation of pedagogically informed online teaching and learning materials
• Substantial teaching background including significant online teaching and support through Virtual Learning Environments (VLEs)
• Proven training in technology and software used in teaching and learning

Successful applicants must have a Masters’ degree in Education (or similar) with desirable qualifications in digital instructional design and technology/software training. Applicants should be familiar of the UK university system at foundation level, in particular for the needs of second language learners. Successful candidates will primarily join a team to support and deliver teaching, learning, assessment and student self-study provision. They will have teaching/training duties appropriate to the role.

Salary will be within the range of RMB 370,878 – RMB 397,292 per annum depending on skills and experience, salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance. In addition, an attractive package including accommodation allowance, travel allowance and insurance will be provided for international appointments.

The posts will initially be offered on a fixed term contract for a period of 3 years starting September 2021 (earlier/later starts for exceptional candidates may be negotiated). This contract may be extended on an indefinite basis by mutual agreement. All posts will be based in Ningbo and contracts will be with the University of Nottingham Ningbo China.
