The Antibody and Vaccine Group based in the newly opened Centre for Cancer Immunology in Southampton has a strong track-record in basic and translational immunology. One of its central aims is to develop new and more effective antibody reagents for treating cancer.
An exciting opportunity now presents itself for a research fellow to work on a CRUK project funded in collaboration with UCB Pharma to develop a novel antibody technology capable of eliciting powerful anti-tumour responses. The collaboration will expose the successful candidate to cutting edge industry and academic technologies.
You will be motivated, educated in a relevant subject area and ideally have practical laboratory experience of antibody biology and in vivo methodology.
A PhD* or equivalent professional qualifications and experience in Immunology/Cell Biology is essential for this role.
The position is full-time and for 12 months in the first instance with the provision for a subsequent 12 months based upon progress.
