Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in Understanding Symptom Evolution and Mental Illness in Youth in the Department of Psychiatry (Ref.: 504030), to commence as soon as possible for two years, with the possibility of renewal.

Applicants should possess a doctoral degree by research (Ph.D. or equivalent) in psychiatry, psychology, neuroscience, social work, social sciences, nursing, statistics, public health, or a relevant discipline. They should have excellent organisational, communication and analytical skills.  They should demonstrate the ability to perform quantitative research and statistical analysis, conduct psychiatric interviews, and manage large-scale database. Proficiency in at least one statistical software package (e.g. SPSS, Stata, SAS, R, Mplus) is required.

The appointee will join an internationally active team of researchers in developing studies in the area of symptom evolution in mental disorders. He/She will conduct independent scholarly research, lead projects, prepare manuscripts and reports, and assist in the supervision of junior research staff and students.  Information about the Department can be obtained at http://www.psychiatry.hku.hk/.  Those who have responded to the previous advertisement (Ref.: 501840) need not re-apply.
