Job Description

The College of Information Technology (CIT) at the United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) invites highly qualified individuals to apply for a faculty position in Computer Science. CIT seeks candidates who can contribute to the growth of its undergraduate and graduate programs through excellence in teaching, research, and community service. Candidates with multidisciplinary and applied research involving Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning are strongly encouraged to apply. The candidates are expected to demonstrable strong research capability that enables him/her to develop and sustain internally and/or externally funded research programs in their respective areas of expertise. The candidate is expected to have a strong commitment to teaching excellence, designing and revising program curricula, and developing undergraduate and graduate courses. The successful candidate must demonstrate a strong research record in the general area of computer science with a focus in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, and their applications. Qualifications include a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in computer science, computer engineering or a closely related field, demonstrated record of research accomplishments in any of the above-mentioned topics, experience in writing and securing grants, as well as effective and innovative teaching. Practical or industrial experience related to any of the areas above is a plus. Faculty rank is commensurate with the qualifications and experience of the candidate. The College has undergraduate degrees in computer science, computer engineering, information security, and information technology. The college is home to four master programs in information security, information technology management, software engineering. The college also has one doctorate program in computing and informatics. Minimum Qualification
