Reporting directly to the Vice-Chancellor, the Executive Dean drives all aspects of the strategic leadership, and operation and management of the Faculty, fostering an effective Faculty Executive Team, and ensuring Schools optimise realisation of the University's goals. As a member of the Vice­ Chancellor's Advisory Group, the Executive Dean provides strategic direction and plays a significant role in University-wide initiatives. The Executive Dean also performs a key advocacy and liaison role with industry, the professions, accreditation bodies, government and other external stakeholders,in developing partnerships, meeting requirements and advancing the interests of the Faculty and its programs.

In appointing the Executive Dean, we seek an outstanding academic leader with an international research track record and demonstrated success in leading dynamic and complex organisational units. Experience in leading the development of Faculty strategic plans - which engage academic and professional staff of the Faculty -will be key to success. Outstanding interpersonal skills, presence and credibility are essential to develop and promote effective and collegial relationships internal and external to the University.
