Job Description

• Explore and identify industry collaboration (business development) for polyvinylidene fluoride/graphene technologies in the field of photodetector and medical wearable devices
• Drive and coordinate research collaboration agreement discussion and collaboration with industry partners for photodetector and wearable applications identified in the Office of Industry & Innovation at the Centre for Advanced 2D Materials
• Provide guidance and mentorship for PhD research work, i.e., experiments, publications
• Support industry alignment grant or other relevant funding proposals/applications

Qualifications

• PhD in materials science/physics or other equivalent higher degree focusing on functional coating and device fabrication and testing
• Ideally have 3 to 5 years of being a postdoc/research fellow in 2D materials related projects
• Basic understanding of 2D materials such as graphene related sensor device working principle and failure mechanism
• Prior experience in nanomaterials/optoelectronics/wearable devices, ideally in research, applications engineering or technical development in industry will be favourably considered
• Well spoken and written English language ability a must
