Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join the Microscopy Core (SiMBA) led by Dr. Anne BEGHIN at the Mechanobiology Institute, National University of Singapore, and contribute to an interdisciplinary activity focused at developing and optimizing cutting edge microscopy techniques for cells’ imaging. Candidates are expected to have good knowledge and proven skills in optic and biophotonic domains. Prior experience in working with super resolution techniques such as STORM/PALM and/or in image analysis will be appreciated. The successful candidate will oversee cutting-edge microscopes, be responsible of the training of users and involved in managing the lab both in technical and administrative aspects. The candidate will be also in charge of development projects of super resolution techniques and/or image analysis. Excellent communication skills are also required, writing scientific reports both for internal documentation and for publication is a component of this job position.
Responsibilities:
- Maintenance of microscopes,
- Training of users and supervision of schedule,
- Procurement, lab inventory and safety management,
- Conduct development projects,
- Technical/Scientific reports writing
Requirements
- Engineering or equivalent graduate
- Organized, meticulous, able to work together in a team as well as independently.
