Teaching Assistants for (1) Accounting (Ref.: 503815),(2) Economics (Ref.: 503816), (3) Finance (Ref.: 503817), (4) Financial Technology (Ref.: 503818), (5) Global Management (Ref.: 503819), (6) Business Analytics (Ref.: 503820), and (7) Marketing (Ref.: 503821) Courses at the Postgraduate Level in the Faculty of Business and Economics (to commence in August 2021 for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance)

For post (1), applicants should have a good Master’s degree in Accounting or a related discipline.  Professional accounting qualifications, such as ACCA, HKICPA, CPA Australia and CIMA would be an advantage.

For post (2), applicants should possess a good Master’s degree in Economics or Finance, or a related discipline.

For post (3), applicants should possess a good Master’s degree in Finance or Economics, or a related discipline.  Professional qualifications such as CFA, FRM, CAIA would be an advantage.  Excellent quantitative skills in mathematics and computer programming is required for part of the position.

For post (4), applicants should possess a good Master’s degree in Finance or Economics or Computer Sciences, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics or Science and Technology or a related discipline.  Professional qualifications such as CFA, FRM, CAIA would be an advantage.  Excellent quantitative skills in mathematics and computer programming is required for part of the position.

For post (5), applicants should possess a good Master’s degree in Business, Management or a related discipline. Those who have experience in dealing with management issues in global contexts would have an advantage.

For post (6), applicants should possess a Master’s degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Information Systems, Operations Management, Computer Science, or a related discipline.  They should have excellent quantitative skills.  Proficiency in analytics tools such as R, Python, SAS, SQL, Tableau/Power BI, Spark, Hive, or Hadoop would be an advantage.

For post (7), applicants should possess a Master’s degree in Business, Marketing or a related discipline.  They should have good branding and marketing skills.  Those who have experience in marketing and client servicing in the commercial and business setting would have an advantage.

All applicants should also possess excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills in English.  Prior teaching experience and communication skills in Chinese would be an advantage.

The appointees will work with the course instructors and the Programme Office to conduct tutorials and workshops in English for postgraduate courses, prepare course materials, support programme administration, classes and examinations; and perform any other duties as assigned. They will work at the Faculty’s Cyberport campus.
