‘It’s a very dynamic place, there’s always something going on and the ambition that the institution has is enormous.’ Mary Stuart, Vice Chancellor

The work we do here at the University of Lincoln matters, and working here, you will make a lasting impact on students’ lives. Our student experience is central to what we do so you’ll need to be passionate about what you do, and always looking for ways to improve. We offer an innovative and forward-looking working environment; an award winning range of staff benefits and a great development programme. We offer our staff simply a life changing opportunity.

We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled PR professional and corporate communications specialist to join a dynamic, forward-thinking university named Modern University of the Year in The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2021, and to make a significant contribution to the institution's continued success by enhancing the reputation of the University locally, nationally and internationally.

There are number of roles available to join our brilliant Communications, Development and Marketing team, including a Senior PR Officer.

We're looking for skilled writers with news sense who can generate excellent local, national and international media coverage, understanding of the media landscape to enhance and protect our reputation by liaising with journalists and editors, and to help us to engage with our community of almost 20,000 staff and students.

As an important member of the Press Office team, you will play a significant role in building the profile and reputation of the University in the UK and overseas. You will also support internal communications to our community of staff and students.

For an informal discussion regarding the role, please contact Tim Marks, PR and Internal Communications Manager at tmarks@lincoln.ac.uk

Company

Since Her Majesty the Queen first opened the University of Lincoln, we’ve had some of the most satisfied students in the UK. And our quality of teaching and research has helped us achieve a growing and international reputation. However, with an ambition to become one of the country’s top institutions, we’re just at the start of our exciting journey.

With over 13,000 students spread across our three campuses of Brayford Pool Marina, Riseholme Park and Holbeach, we’re one of the Lincolnshire’s largest employers. We strive to provide each of our 1,500 plus members of staff a working environment where equality, respect and opportunity are core values. And, whether you’re an academic, researcher, senior manager or part of our professional support team, you’ll find a home of creativity and innovation.
