An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lecturer in Project Management to join the academic team within the School of Computing, Engineering and Physical Sciences at the UWS London Campus.

The School of Computing, Engineering and Physical Sciences is a multidisciplinary school, with a diverse range of programmes delivered at our Paisley, Lanarkshire and London campuses with a combined total of circa  2,700 students.  Teaching and Research is at the heart of all of the School’s activities, with NSS achieving an overall satisfaction rating of 100% in several of our Undergraduate programmes and we continue to build and diversify further to the success of REF2014 and in preparation for REF2021.

We are looking for engaged and talented individuals to make a real impact on the local, national and international communities we serve. This post is therefore part of an investment in new talent and excellence to support our growth plans.

The post sits within the Engineering Division. However, applications are welcome from a broader discipline area to support the MSc Project Management, which is one of our most popular, and growing programmes at Master’s level. The successful candidate (post holder) will have a postgraduate qualification in project management and/or education/learning and teaching. Candidates with a strong business or industry background with postgraduate qualifications may also be considered.

The programme is delivered at both our London and Paisley campuses, franchised internationally and delivered online. Willingness to travel is an essential aspect of this post both within the UK and internationally.

We welcome applications from dynamic and motivated individuals with an expertise in project management. You will be a highly motivated individual, an innovative educator with a global outlook, passionate about your discipline and dedicated to delivering the best possible student experience. You will help to expand our commercial and / or research activities, and will exhibit an entrepreneurial and collaborative mindset to enhance the impact of your work. The successful applicant will join a progressive and growing team of individuals in delivery and development of project management within the School.

The successful candidate will be based at our London Campus with some scheduled activities at our other campus locations and overseas as required.

The University of the West of Scotland is committed to supporting your personal development and providing an inclusive working environment.
