Research Fellow, Nanoscale Mechanobiology

Job Description

We are looking for a Postdoctoral Fellow (Research Fellow) with a proven track-record of high impact research in Super-resolution Microscopy, Single-molecule Spectroscopy, Optical Instrumentation, Advanced Quantitative Fluorescence Microscopy, or related areas. The successful candidate will lead research projects and supervise junior research staffs and team members on the development and application of novel fluorescence microscopy approaches to study cell biology at the nanoscale level, as a part of a multi-institutional multi-disciplinary research programme on cellular aging. The project will be housed at the Mechanobiology Institute, National University of Singapore.

Requirements

The successful candidate must have a Ph.D. degree in Biophysics, Physics, Physical Chemistry, Biomedical Engineering, Optics, or related Bioimaging fields. Prior postdoctoral training experiences and/or career experiences in technically-relevant domains will be strongly favoured. The candidate is expected to have an outstanding high-impact publication record and proficiency in optical instrumentation, programming (LabVIEW, IDL, MATLAB, for example), data analysis, and visualization. Prior laboratory experiences in cell biology, molecular biology, or electron microscopy are also desirable. Remuneration will be commensurate with qualifications and experiences.
