About the role

The Industry Fellow - Land Administration and Cadastral Surveying Specialist, will contribute to the teaching, research and engagement activities of the School, specifically in connection with Cadastral Surveying and Land Administration within the Geospatial Science discipline, working collaboratively and collegially with fellow academics within the STEM College.

The Fellow will deliver highly quality, innovative, engaging, and industry-relevant learning experience to students by encouraging them to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills. They will also actively engage, maintain, and lead collaboration and partnership with the Surveying and Geospatial industry and professional communities. In addition, the Fellow will be expected to contribute towards identifying, developing and securing industry-based funding for impactful R&D activities that innovate and introduce new products and services.

About you

You will bring to the role excellence in Cadastral Surveying and Land Administration teaching and learning, including the ability to contribute to high quality curriculum or program materials. The role will require you to be innovative in teaching, including online or blended delivery, and the ability to produce high quality curriculum or course materials.

Key to the role will be your outstanding engagement, collaboration and leadership experience in the surveying industry in Victoria, Australia, and/or internationally. You will have the ability to plan, implement, and lead work-integrated learning activities in Cadastral Surveying and Land Administration, inspiring students, colleagues, and industry to created transformative work-integrated learning experiences. A vision towards developing and fostering an intelligent cadastre system under digital transformation will be highly desirable. You will have excellent communication skills and be able to interact with staff, industry and government bodies and be able to collaborate on projects within time and budget constraints.

Qualifications

Mandatory: PhD or equivalent industry experience in Land Administration and Cadastral Surveying or a closely related field.
