Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow/Senior Research Assistant in the Journalism and Media Studies Centre (Ref.: 503723), to commence on July 2, 2021 for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree with relevant experience in the areas related to Health Sciences, Social Sciences, Information Science, or Journalism/Media/Communication studies. Those with a Master’s degree and the aforementioned experience may be appointed as Senior Research Assistant. They should demonstrate promising ability to generate high quality publications in the international academic journals.

The appointee will be responsible for generating research outputs independently and in collaboration with a team of interdisciplinary scholars. He/She is expected to prepare research proposals for competitive grant application. Experience in computational social sciences studies, text mining, machine learning, data visualization, network analysis, analysis of unstructured or multimodal data, or advanced quantitative methods in health research or social sciences would be an advantage.
