About Finance

The academic activity of the University is supported by a wide range of service departments. The Finance Professional Service Unit (PSU) role is to ensure that all financial data is processed correctly, timely and accurately to enable payments to be made and received while ensuring that all stakeholders, including CMDL, CIM, CIC, CEIL, CQSL, Cranfield Holdings and CITH are provided with required services in accordance with University Partnership Agreements.

The Finance PSU is currently looking to recruit a Payroll Clerk to the Payroll and Pensions Team.

About the Role

The role exists to ensure that Cranfield University and all parallel company staff, including visiting lecturers are paid accurately and on time, with all relevant tax and pension deductions having been made in line with legislation and pension regulations. 

 

About You

The successful applicant will have at least two years’ experience of working in a busy payroll and/or pensions team in a large complex organisation or Higher Education institution.  You will be customer focused in your approach to work, have excellent numeracy skills and pay careful attention to the details.  Good organisational and time management skills to work to deadlines are essential.

The ability to communicate clearly and articulately with staff at all levels and provide and excellent customer service.  You must have excellent numeric and analytical skills and knowledge of Microsoft applications.
