Job Description

Two Research Assistant positions are available immediately in Professor Brian Kennedy’s Laboratory in the Healthy Longevity Translational Research Program. The successful candidates will be working closely with the Research Fellow to investigate the effects of repurposing drugs and natural products on influencing healthspan and lifespan in experimental mouse ageing models. The project requires animal handling and maintenance, periodic animal behavioral and functional studies, and tissue collection/processing.

Qualifications

A degree in biomedical/life sciences or related disciplines

Experience in one or more of the following disciplines will be advantageous:

  • Basic animal handling skills, genotyping and mouse dissection
  • Animal behavioural studies
  • Primary/Neuronal culture techniques, flow cytometry, histology/ animal imaging
  • Cell/Molecular Biology/Neuroscience

Proficiency in written and spoken English

Candidate should be independent, motivated and has an interest in scientific research. Both Singaporeans and foreigners are welcome to apply, but applicants must be currently residing in Singapore.
