Job Details

We are seeking an enthusiastic, motivated, future-oriented and solution focussed lecturer who has experience working across a range of medical imaging environments, with an interest in computer science, technology or physics, and the evolving area of AI. You will have the opportunity to use your knowledge and experience innovatively, delivering clinical and theoretical teaching, learning, and assessment across our programmes. You will also be involved in student support and curricula development.

Depending on your experience and prior level of study you will also contribute to post-graduate education. We work across 5 NHS Trusts in our region: Airedale, Bradford, Calderdale and Huddersfield, and Mid Yorks to provide local, regional and national programmes in the areas of Advanced Clinical Practice (Radiographic Reporting), CT, and MRI

You will demonstrate a willingness to be creative and solution focussed whilst contributing to the School of Allied Health Professions and Midwifery, making use of the different development opportunities available to you. You will work collaboratively with our service user and carer group and with our students to continually improve and develop our programmes and business opportunities. You are expected to become involved in potential research opportunities alongside the work of Professor Maryann Hardy and Professor Bev Snaith.

In addition to learning and teaching, the University empowers and encourages staff to develop their own research profile and to participate in internationally leading, interdisciplinary research and innovation that will shape and benefit future societies. Our internationally renowned applied health research undertaken in partnership with the NHS is impacting positively on health outcomes locally and regionally and is contributing to the knowledge of international significance. Colleagues from our faculty helped to establish the Born in Bradford cohort study and continue to lead many of its recent developments. The University has invested significantly in high-quality research facilities and space such as the Digital Health Enterprise Zone (DHEZ, in collaboration with the City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council), and the Wolfson Centre for Applied Health Research (CAHR, in collaboration with the University of Leeds, Bradford Institute for Health Research, and the Wolfson Institute). The latter is supported by high-quality new appointments at the senior university level many of them in our faculty: Prof Siobhan Reilly, new Director of the Centre for Applied Dementia Studies and lead for Healthy Aging, Prof Rebecca Randell lead for Health Technologies for Quality and Safety, Dr Andy Daly-Smith lead for Healthy Childhood and Physical Activity. We have proven additional strengths in Diversity and Inclusion (Prof Udy Archibong) as well as Radiography and Imaging (Prof Beverly Snaith and Prof Maryann Hardy).

The University offers an attractive range of staff benefits, including a career development framework, discounted Gym membership and will support relocation assistance.
