Clinical Psychology Teaching Fellows (Part-time & Full-time)

Job description

Applications are invited for an enthusiastic and motivated Clinical Psychologist to join the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Queen’s University, Belfast. The programme, which is the only one in N. Ireland, is based in the School of Psychology; a vibrant and collegial department. The Doctorate in Clinical Psychology programme is accredited by the British Psychological Society and approved by the Health and Care Professions Council. At the most recent BPS accreditation visit in 2019, the programme received three commendations. The programme is renowned for its trainee research output, its interprofessional education programme and close working with NHS stakeholders. You will deliver a range of clinical and academic activities for the programme including clinical skills teaching and assessment, evaluation of clinical placements, pastoral support for trainees and interprofessional psychology education.

You will join a programme team whose aim is to deliver excellence in clinical psychology training. The programme team are ambitious, compassionate and collegial and strive to innovate and develop the programme. Applicants with expertise in in any clinical speciality are encouraged to apply and we particularly welcome applications from females who are under represented on the programme team.

This is a fixed term (1.0fte) contract post for 3 years in the first instance. We are open to the consideration of part-time or a full-time appointment.  Secondments from other organisations will also be considered for this post. 

The successful candidate must have:

• Undergraduate degree in Psychology, or equivalent.
• Professional qualification in Clinical Psychology or equivalent and eligible for HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist.
• Minimum of 2 years relevant clinical supervision experience and have undertaken supervision training.
