Applications are invited for appointment as Lecturer in the Department of Sociology (Ref.:503496) (to commence on August 2, 2021 or as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability)

Applicants should have a doctoral degree in Sociology or Anthropology, with at least 3 years’ teaching experience at tertiary level. They should possess proven ability for high-quality teaching and demonstrated capabilities in developing new teaching materials. A portfolio of course design, supervision of projects, and/or student advising is highly preferred.

The appointee will be expected to undertake substantial teaching responsibilities at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and supervise students. More information about the Department’s academic programmes is available on the Department’s website https://sociology.hku.hk/
