The School of Humanities and Communication Arts offers programs in arts, communication and creative industries, design (visual communication), interpreting and translation, languages, music, TESOL, and creative music therapy. Innovative subjects focus on contemporary debates, perspectives, methods and technologies. Wherever possible, programs include practical training, often through involvement in community and industry-based projects.

The School is now seeking an Academic Lecturer in Visual Communication Design to be involved in a range of academic activities including the coordination and teaching of units in web, interactive (apps and/or games), and motion design.

In this position you will be expected to conduct research, engage with industry in educational and research projects and supervise postgraduate (Masters and PhD) students in areas of your expertise.

You will work closely with research and teaching staff in the School of Humanities and Communication Arts, and will be encouraged to develop collaborations with other units within the wider University. You will also be required to foster relevant relationships external to the University.

The School of Humanities and Communication Arts is located on three campuses: Bankstown, Parramatta, and Penrith, with the Visual Communication Design degrees based at Parramatta South.

This is a full-time, ongoing position.

Remuneration Package: Academic Level B $125,306 to $147,860 p.a. (including salary $105,885 to $125,030 p.a., plus 17% Superannuation and Leave Loading).
