Clinical Lecturer – Clinical Pharmacy and Practice

The College of Pharmacy at QU is the first and only pharmacy degree program in the State of Qatar. The College offers 5-year BSc (Pharmacy), 1-year post-Baccalaureate Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD), 2-year MSc (Pharm), and a PhD degree programs. Our BSc and PharmD degree programs are the first international programs to be accredited by the Canadian Council for Accreditation of Pharmacy Programs (CCAPP). We partner with local and international education and healthcare institutions to support our academic and research mandates. The vision of the College is to be the leading pharmacy college in the Middle East region. As a leading College, the first of its kind in the country and a pillar of the QU Health Cluster, the College of Pharmacy undergoes constant changes as we strive to achieve excellence while meeting our primary mandate, to provide our graduates with the knowledge and skills necessary to become competent pharmacists, to meet the healthcare needs of the society. The College of Pharmacy at QU hereby invites applications for a full-time faculty position at the rank of a Clinical Lecturer, beginning August 2021. Applications will be reviewed until the position is filled.

Minimum requirements include an earned PharmD, MSc in clinical pharmacy, or a higher degree (e.g. PhD) in clinical pharmacy from a reputable university. The candidate should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Candidates who have demonstrated excellence in teaching in addition to experience with clinical pharmacy practice, course management, and related software management are preferred. For a PharmD holder, a post-baccalaureate PharmD with residency or fellowship is an added advantage.  

The successful candidate will be actively involved in undergraduate and graduate course coordination, instruction and evaluation in addition to academic, community, and professional service. The candidate is also expected to engage in certain level of research activity and productivity as agreed by the relevant department.

The employment package is commensurate with experience and rank and highly competitive.
