Zhejiang University (ZJU) is one of China’s top higher education institutions, as well as one of its oldest. Located in Hangzhou – one of China’s most picturesque cities – the University is organized across seven faculties and 36 schools. ZJU has over 53,000 students, over 53% of whom are postgraduate students. The University currently ranks among the top three on Chinese mainland and within the top 100 in the Times Higher Education World Reputation Rankings and QS World University Rankings.
The College of Media and International Culture at Zhejiang University was established in 2006. Its Department of Journalism, founded in 1958, is one of the earliest journalism education departments in China. According to the 2020 QS World University Ranking, the College is ranked among the top 150 globally for Communication and Media Studies.

2. Tenure-track Assistant Professor
Candidates should be able to teach courses for both undergraduates and graduates, maintain an active research agenda, produce quality research outputs, and acquire competitive external funding. Candidates are required to be promoted to tenured Associate Professor within six years.
Candidates must have a PhD degree in above mentioned areas, have a proven or strongly emerging track record of high quality research publications, and under the age of 40. Those who are ethnically non-Chinese are particularly encouraged to apply.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Benefits package, including housing subsidy and start-up fund, will be offered.
