RESEARCH TECHNICIAN/LABORATORY COORDINATOR

for the period of 8.3.2021 – 7.3.2022 (start date negotiable) to assist with tasks including conducting molecular biology and genomic analyses under the supervision of post docs and/or PhD students e.g. DNA and RNA extraction, qPCR, next-generation sequencing, cell biology techniques, RNAseq, ChIPseq ATAC-seq, single-cell technologies.

The successful candidate will likely have experience with some of the above-mentioned techniques and be enthusiastic about learning others. They are also expected to be highly motivated to play a key role assisting these international teams and have excellent organizational skills and good English communication skills. We appreciate a cooperative attitude and enthusiasm for learning new skills.

The salary is based on levels 6-8 of the job requirement scheme for other personnel in the salary system of Finnish universities. In addition, the appointee will be paid a salary component based on personal work performance. The position is offered with a six-month trial period.
