Applications are invited for a 1 year post of a Research Assistant within UCD School of Biology and Environmental Science.

An opportunity for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual with a strong interest in cancer research and translational medicine to join the Cancer Biology and Therapeutics team. The successful candidate will assist on multiple research projects, including the epiCaPture project (to develop a urine test for early detection of aggressive prostate cancer), deciphering how epigenomic alternations are involved in disease progression and drug resistance in prostate and ovarian cancer, as well as phenotypic screening of plant based bio-actives on the growth of prostate cancer cells in vitro. An important responsibility of this role will also be managing a prostate sample bio-repository and associated electronic data. The appointee will also assist Associate Professor Perry on various EDI initiatives within the college.

Fixed Salary: €23,061 per annum
