Computer Science Professor, Tenured/Tenure Track, Open Rank
The Division of Science at NYU Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) invites applications for tenured / tenure-track open-rank faculty positions within its Computer Science Program. Multidisciplinary research and exceptional teaching in a highly diverse and inclusive campus community are hallmarks of the University’s mission. Faculty within the Program of Computer Science at NYUAD are highly collaborative and pursue cutting edge research that is highly interdisciplinary. The internationally renowned research projects in fields that include, but are not limited to: artificial intelligence; bioinformatics; cybersecurity; computational geometry; computer social science; human data interaction; information and communication technologies for development; natural language processing; and theoretical computer science.

Available openings are at the Assistant, Associate, and Full Professor rank (tenured/tenure-track). Applicants who hold a PhD should demonstrate an outstanding track record for their career stage, in both research and teaching. This includes having publications in leading peer-reviewed journals or conferences, as well as experience in or the potential to lead research projects and secure research funding. As part of a multi-year hiring plan, we are interested in excellent candidates from all areas of Computer Science, including, but not limited to the fields where we have current strengths.
Successful candidates will receive a generous startup package, as well as renewable research funding to hire research assistants and postdocs, and will also have access to internal funding. They will have the opportunity to supervise NYUAD-funded PhD students enrolled in NYU New York’s Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences and the Tandon School of Engineering. Additional research support includes access to high-performance computing facilities with more than 12,000 computing cores and a peak performance of 400 TFLOPS.
The prudent fusion of science and other academic disciplines at NYUAD has resulted in the creation of state-of-the-art, interdisciplinary research centers, and core technology platforms, in which questions are answered and problems tackled by scientists of international distinction. There are many collaboration opportunities, within the research centers, which include the Center for Cyber Security and the Center for Interacting Urban Networks (CITIES), as well as with faculty in NYU New York’s Courant Institute of Mathematical Sciences and Tandon School of Engineering.
