Job Description

The job involves developing novel technologies for understanding and enhancing the integrated gasification – Gasification of municipal solid waste (MSW) with high-quality syngas and biochar production. To reach the objective of this activity, fundamental study on the conversion mechanism for various waste feedstock streams will be conducted. Based on that, pilot-scale feasibility experiments of MSW gasification will also be performed. Meanwhile, a high-performance model of gasification process will be developed and optimized to guide experimental work.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• At least a Ph.D.’s Degree in Science or Engineering
• Research experience related areas such as solid waste gasification would be helpful for the position
• Both experimental and numerical skills are recommended for the position
• Independent, resourceful and able to work in a team
• Strong communication skills (both written and verbal), good English writing skills for writing reports and publications
