In this role

The Payroll Administrator, as a member of the Payroll Services team, will assist and support the payroll department with data entry and administration processes linked to employee onboarding (including contractor, agencies and other non paid staff), master data changes, timesheet and leave processing forms as directed by the Payroll Manager to ensure a successful and accurate payroll delivery on a fortnightly basis.

The candidate

To succeed, you will possess:

  • Completion of a High School certificate or completing a higher education bachelor degree or TAFE course in a business or HR discipline with 1 year of relevant experience in a finance, administration or payroll function is acceptable.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office in particular Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Excellent time management, problem solving skills with demonstrated ability to work within a team in an environment characterised by nuances and ambiguity.
  • Solid financial understanding and good use with a calculator and data entry skill sets averaging 10,000 keystrokes per hour (clerical industry benchmark)
  • Strong stakeholder and communication skills, both verbal and written with the ability to plan, organise and set priorities.
