The School of Health Sciences, which provides high quality education to a range of undergraduate and post graduate programmes that lead to registration in nursing, midwifery, health visiting/school nursing, paramedic science and speech and language therapy, is currently investing significantly in the clinical skills facilities on our Avery Hill campus to provide a modernised and expanded simulated practice environment.  

We are seeking a professional individual with a keen interest in technology enhanced learning and excellent knowledge of audio-visual technology, including VR/AR to provide efficient and effective support to enable the smooth running of the Faculty specialist teaching facilities, which include Clinical Skills and Simulation facilities for nursing, midwifery and paramedic students, as well as Science/DT laboratories for teacher education. 

You will be responsible for assisting with the provision of day to day technical and IT support for the Clinical Skills and Patient Simulation facilities, as well as general support across other provision.  This includes set up and preparation of equipment and consumables in advance of teaching sessions, moving and handling, routine maintenance and routine ordering and stock control.

Previous experience of providing technical support in a customer service environment is essential.  Knowledge of simulated environments and/or experience gained in the Education or Health sector would be a distinct advantage.
