About the role
Play a key role and guide the development of strategies that build academic staff capability and shape a culturally safe workplace. They will promote Indigenous student success and build authentic and enduring relationships with Indigenous communities in each of our regions.
You will maintain a solid working knowledge of La Trobe University’s current policies and processes. They will advocate for the La Trobe Strategic Plan 2020-2030 and the LRHS Statement of Strategic Intent within the school and demonstrate the university’s cultural values of connectedness, innovation, accountability and care. They will represent the school in Indigenous forums at a university level, regionally, nationally and internationally. Importantly, the Indigenous Academic Coordinator will partner with relevant staff in the College of Science, Health and Education and central services including the Indigenous Strategy and Education Unit (ISE) to ensure seamless service delivery.
