Description

We seek exceptional instructional faculty to deliver fundamental and development courses to our students.

Instructional Faculty are full time fixed-term appointments held by faculty members whose main duties are teaching graduate students primarily through development courses. They also have additional professional and administrative responsibilities such as designing and administrating admission and assessment exams, participating in the student admission process, or participating in divisional committees related to teaching and learning.

The Physical Science and Engineering Division comprises seven Degree Programs: Material Science and Engineering, Applied Physics, Earth Science and Engineering, Energy Resources and Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Science, Chemical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. These disciplines provide the foundation for our Division's quest to address some of the major challenges that we face in the world today, including those related to energy and the environment.

Qualifications

A Ph.D. degree in science (physics, chemistry, etc.) or engineering (mechanical engineering, chemical engineering, etc.) or a related field (e.g. applied mathematics). A strong track record as an exceptional instructor.

Teaching and service responsibilities

Commitment to high-quality teaching at the pre-graduate and graduate level, including generally four courses per academic year. Active service to KAUST on all aspects of academic life.
