Laboratory of Data Discovery for Health Limited
Applications are invited for appointment as Post-doctoral Fellow in Bioinformatics (several posts) in the Laboratory of Data Discovery for Health (Ref.: D502486), to commence as soon as possible for two to three years, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.
Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in bioinformatics, bio-mathematics/statistics or other related disciplines. They should have strong expertise and publication records in machine learning, deep learning and big data analytics. Research experience in genomic data and algorithm development would be an advantage. Applicants should demonstrate the capacity to mentor junior colleagues and students. They should have a good command of written and spoken English, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team. They should also be self-motivated, organized, detail-minded and hardworking. Both fresh Ph.D. graduates and experienced postdoctoral researchers are welcome to apply.
The appointees are expected to conduct high-quality research on pathogen genomics. They will develop analysis methods and databases, and analyse big data for scientific discovery. Translational research is also expected.
