Applications are invited for the Post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) for the DST-SERB Funded Project in School of Advanced Sciences (SAS), Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT), Tamil Nadu

Title of the Project

“Prediction of extreme severe cyclonic storms over North Indian Ocean using high resolution numerical modeling system for disaster preparedness”.

Number of positions: One [01]

Qualification

• Essential: M.Sc./M.Tech or equivalent in Mathematics/Physics/Atmospheric Science/Environmental Science
• Desirable: Candidates having knowledge in Numerical simulation and modeling, environmental monitoring, data assimilation.

Stipend

Rs. 31,000/ + HRA per month with NET/GATE. For candidates without NET/GATE, stipend will be as per Institute norms.
