Description
The University of Chicago's Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Rehabilitation Medicine, is searching for a full-time faculty member at any rank. The successful applicant will have inpatient and outpatient responsibilities in the context of a career in academic medicine. Other duties will include teaching and supervision of trainees and students, and scholarly activity. Academic rank and compensation (including a generous package of fringe benefits) are dependent upon qualifications.
Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent, 2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois, 3) be Board certified or eligible in Orthopaedic Surgery, 4) have completed an ACGME-approved orthopaedic surgery residency or its equivalent, and 5) have completed an ACGME-approved fellowship or its equivalent in an area directly relevant to the specialization.
