The Penn Medicine Nudge Unit is the world's first behavioral design team embedded within the operations of a health system. As a Research Scientist, this position will assist the Nudge Unit Director and play a leading role in expanding the Nudge Unit’s research portfolio. He/she will play a crucial role in the scientific aspects of the Nudge Unit’s research portfolio, including development, implementation and data analysis. He/she will take the lead on implementing several projects within the Nudge Unit. In each case, he/she will be working in the setting of large interdisciplinary teams, where he/she will function independently in the execution of behavioral and nudge interventions while working cross-functionally with various study teams. With oversight of the Nudge Unit Director, he/she will perform design, optimize, and implement clinical trials and retrospective analysis projects within specified timelines. He/she will work closely with the research director to assure that the research program adheres to the work plan and stays within budget. Also, he/she will be responsible for writing protocols and SOP, performing data analysis, preparation of manuscripts, and presenting research findings through various forums. He/she must demonstrate the ability to analyze and present data in professional "publication ready" format and to be able to independently prepare manuscripts and grants for submission.

Also, he/she will have the opportunity to present research internally and externally and he/she will contribute to writing/reviewing manuscripts, protocols, and SOPs.
Highly advanced professional discipline. M.D., Ph. D., or equivalent doctoral degree and 5-7 years of experience is required
