Research Fellow, Mathematics
The successful candidate will work with Professor Toh Kim Chuan on research topics under a project on Solving large structured convex conic programming with second order sparsity.
The main responsibilities of the position include:
- To conduct independent research on the design, analysis and implementation of efficient and robust algorithms for large-scale structured conic programming problems. Advanced knowledge on conic optimization and machine learning, Matlab/Python and C programming languages at PhD level are required.
- Graduating PhD or recent PhD holder specializing in computational optimization. Skills: Advanced knowledge on conic optimization theory and algorithms, machine learning, Matlab/Python and C programming languages, at PhD level are required. Experience: At least 2 years of independent research experience in the design and implementation of efficient algorithms for solving large-scale convex conic optimization problems, and optimization problems arising in machine learning.
