Job Description Summary

A full-time Research Assistant (RA) position is available in the TBI Clinical Research Division in the Department of Neurology. The program's focus is to conduct stellar observation and clinical research trials related to traumatic brain injury.

The RA will work with a team of other clinical research coordinators and assistance to recruit, enroll, and retain research patients in ongoing studies; conduct assigned research activities using Good Clinical Practice, including but not limited to: scheduling research participant visits, administration of neurocognitive testing & surveys, collection and preparing of biological samples, accompaniment of participants to MRIs, and data entry.

This position will provide a strong research foundation for individuals interested in continuing their education in graduate or medical school.

Position is contingent on continued funding.

Job Description

Responsible to assist with study coordination and recruitment for investigator-initiated studies, multi-center research studies, and patient-oriented clinical and translational research projects within a specific Division, under general supervision. Works directly with study physicians, research coordinators, project managers, and other research staff. Performs screening visits, consenting of participants, processing and shipping of labs, entering data into databases, and escorting participants to other testing/procedure areas. Help advance the research mission of the Division and University.



H.S. Diploma or GED Required, with 3-5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

College degree or coursework preferred.
