An exciting opportunity has risen to project manage and be responsible for the smooth coordination and delivery of PIANO-ITN, working closely with the project co-ordinator on the administrative, operational and financial aspect of the project. PIANO is an innovative, collaborative and interdisciplinary research training network, which brings together 7 leading academic institutions, 4 companies and SMEs as well as 6 Partners, from 7 European countries.
PIANO will train fifteen Early Stage Researchers on how to investigate the underlying mechanisms of neuropathic pain with a focus on neuroimmune interactions. We will use nanotechnology to image neurons and immune cells in vivo with the final aim to delineate novel therapeutic strategies. This project receives funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie grant agreement No 956477.
The candidate will manage all administrative, operational and financial aspects of the project. S/he will be responsible for the successful delivery of the project and comply with the EU regulations.
The ability to effectively prioritise tasks will be essential to ensure the project is delivered on time and to scope, along with exceptional interpersonal and communications skills and innovation to find the solutions to challenges.
The post will be under the line management of Professor Marzia Malcangio and will be based at the Wolfson Centre for Age-Related Diseases, Kings College London, Guys Campus, London, SE1 1UL.
