At TU Dresden, the Institute of Process Engineering and Environmental Technology at the Faculty of Mechanical Science and Engineering invites applications for the

Chair (W3) in a Topic within Process Engineering
(Open Topic Chair)

to be filled at the earliest possible date

The chair is to gain an interdisciplinary profile covering the fields of Mechanical Process Engineering and Chemical Process and Systems Engineering. You are invited to contribute actively to the research priority areas of TU Dresden "Materials Science and Engineering" and "Energy, Mobility and Environment" as well as to cooperate with the Centre for Energy Technology (CET) and the Centre for Integrated Natural Materials Technology (ZINT).

We are looking for a competent scientist in at least one of the following areas: particle characterisation, particle synthesis, particle functionalisation, nanoparticle technology and / or multi-phase reaction technologies with focus on process intensification and conversion of renewable resources. You have published in internationally renowned scientific journals on the aforementioned subjects. In addition, you have relevant research experience with national and international reputation and can demonstrate experience to lead a research team, and furthermore in the planning, acquisition and management of national and international R&D projects. We assume your pedagogical and didactic aptitude as well as your willingness and ability to conduct classes in German and English in the study programme “Process Engineering and Natural Materials Technology” (diploma) comprising Mechanical Process engineering and Chemical Process and Systems Engineering. We expect your active participation in academic selfadministration. Applicants must fulfil the employment qualification requirements of § 58 of the Act on the Autonomy of Institutions of Higher Education in the Free State of Saxony (SächsHSFG).
