You will represent didactics of history in its complete spectrum within the degree programs of the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Science and actively participate in shaping the bachelor’s and master’s degree programs as well as state exam degree programs. We also expect you to actively participate in academic selfadministration. We expect you to organize the cooperation with the bodies and institutions involved in history teacher training. We also presume your willingness to work actively in the panel „Didactics at TU Dresden“ as well as in interdisciplinary didactic research projects and the acquisition of third-party didactic project funding. Building on this, you will play a central role in establishing a focal point “digitization in the process of historical learning“ at the Institute of History.

We wish for qualifications and experience in the field of digital change in historical learning and the transformation of historical culture. With your application, we ask you to submit a) a research and teaching concept concerning the didactics of history (300 words maximum) and b) a concept for developing and shaping the new focal point “digitisation in the process of historical learning“ (500 words maximum). We expect a university degree in history, a very good doctorate in the didactics of history, first state exam or Master of Education degree, second state exam, teaching experience in the subject of history of at least three years as well as additional scientific achievements in didactics of history, in particular publications in journals and the participation in curriculum and teaching materials development.
