Job Description
The successful candidate will work with A/P J.A. van Kan on the construction of a table top ion microscope.
Title of the project Development of a compact lab prototype ion microscope. Development task in this project includes at least one of the following:
- Development of a remote computer interface to the system
- Design of analog interfacing to the system
- Ion optics design of the system
Qualifications
Qualifications / Discipline:
- Bachelor degree in computer science/physics/electrical and computer engineering or equivalent. Desired Skillset includes one or more of the following areas:
- Computer programming for remote interfacing with robots, experiments or devices,
- Analog electronics,
- Ion optics simulation software,
- Hands on working experience with ion microscopes,
- Good communication skills. Experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Computer Interfacing of remotely controlled robots or scientific experiments
- Failure Analysis of electronic circuit
- Analog electronics circuits
- Setting up or commissioning of (charged particle) Microscopes
- Setting up of vacuum systems
- CAD software
