Job Details
A Research Fellow position is currently available in Nanyang Environment & Water Research Institute - Environmental Process Modelling Centre (NEWRI-EPMC).
Job Responsibilities
- Support research work on digital twinning of water treatment systems
- Support research work on the development of anomaly detection algorithms
- Work synergistically with PI and Co-PI in data acquisition, data management and data analytics using machine learning and neural networks
- Summarize the findings in this project and produce the presentations and reports
Job Requirements
- PhD degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering or other related engineering disciplines
- Knowledge and research experience on probabilistic machine learning, anomaly/attack detection and gap filing analysis using neural networks for water systems
- Knowledge and research experience on data augmentation in the process control of water systems using Kalman Filtering
- Highly motivated person who is able to work independently
- Good communication skills & team player
- Strong interest in research work
- Highly driven, independent and resourceful

The prestigious Lee Kuan Yew Postdoctoral Fellowship (LKY PDF) was established in 1991 under the Lee Kuan Yew Endowment Fund. The Fellowship supports and promotes young and outstanding researchers to realise their full potential in the areas of Engineering, Science, Humanities, and Medicine.
The Fellowship will be awarded concurrently with the candidate's appointment as a research staff in NTU.

Eligibility:
• Excellent academic records and research potential.
• Recent PhD graduates, or with at most 1 postdoctoral training from a reputable university.
Terms and Conditions:
• The Fellowship will be tenable for a period of 3 years.
• In addition to an attractive remuneration, the successful candidate will be awarded a research grant of S$180,000 for research consumables and research related expenditure.
