The Department of Integrative Agriculture of the United Arab Emirates University invites applications for an Assistant or Associate professor position in Agricultural Extension. Candidates should have a well documented record of their ability to develop community based research and outreach programs. Experience with agricultural extension in the Gulf Region, and/or Smart, IOT based urban farming systems would be appreciated. The successful candidate should further strengthen the Department’s research and educational capacity in the fields of agricultural extension service provision, technology transfer, community development and outreach. A demonstrated ability of working with local farming communities and stakeholders of the public and private agricultural sector would be of great advantage. The Department of Integrative Agriculture offers a supportive and highly interdisciplinary working environment. Qualified candidates will be considered at a rank commensurate with academic accomplishments. Candidates are expected to have a strong commitment to teaching excellence and student advising at the undergraduate and graduate levels, a demonstrable research capability that will enable the candidate to develop and sustain an internally and/or externally funded research program in his/her area of expertise, publish his/her research findings in refereed journals, and actively engage in promoting the growth of the UAE University. Minimum Qualification

Applicants must have an earned doctorate in the applicable field. The ability to teach courses at the undergraduate and graduate level is a must. Industrial and professional experience is a plus.

Preferred Qualification

Assistant or Associate Professor with a significant international research record in the concerned field.
